A ground-up refrigerated warehouse facility in Jackson, New Jersey, built for a single end-user. The program combined cold storage with dry warehouse space and a dedicated office for the tenant’s operations.
Cold storage construction is a different category from standard industrial work. Vapor management, insulation continuity, and temperature control require detailing that does not appear in conventional warehouses. Mechanical systems serving the cold space have to be sized and zoned independently from spaces that do not require refrigeration. The boundary conditions between cold, dry, and conditioned space have to be detailed at every wall and every ceiling line.
Promont coordinated the project from sitework through tenant move-in, sequencing the cold-side construction as a specialty package within the broader build. The facility went into operation on schedule and remains in use today.
